Baltimore Orioles

Affectionately known by their fans as the O’s and the Birds, the Baltimore Orioles are a major league baseball team rooted in Baltimore, Maryland. They are owned by Peter Angelos, an attorney. They play in the American League’s Eastern Division.

The Orioles’ history dates back to the year 1893 and the town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when the team began in the minor Western League. That minor league would become the major American League in the early 20th century, and the original Baltimore Orioles, who were in the National League, relocated around this time to New York, where they became the New York Yankees. After a stint as the St. Louis Browns, the team would be moved again to Baltimore and become the present day Orioles in the early 1950s.

One popular tradition at Orioles games that dates back to the 1970s is the accenting of the letter “O” when singing the line “Oh, say does that…” from the Star Spangled

White Fender Stratocasters and White Harley Davidsons

Exactly what do these two historically unique world changing products have in common? Lots if you want a biased opinion.

My only passion is not just playing the guitar until my hands hurt or my family and dog. Oh Man, I left out my deep passion for the greatest sporting franchise in the history of sports, The Washington Redskins NFL. This is life my friends.

Yup, I’m a biker from the age of five (Not A Clubber). My dad let me mess around a build some of the oddest and unsafe two wheeled vehicles ever. What a nut! I had a great childhood. My whole life has been pretty darn good. I’m very mechanically adept, I can do surgery, of-course I give discounts because I don’t have a medical license!

Enough of that. I’m a purest. That being said, As Fender Guitars changed the world of music, with the Stratocaster vibe having been copied over and over, the real deal is only guitar for me. It’s my vibe. With minor exception, all

Politically Incorrect or Racist?

Politically Incorrect or Racist?

In case you don’t know, I love sports.

I’ve been a “jock” since I was given my first baseball glove at the age of six.

Baseball, football, hockey, wrestling, gymnastics and martial arts – you name it I’ve played it. I also enjoy watching it and following “my teams”.

For the record, my teams are; The Boston Red Sox, The Boston Celtics, The Boston Bruins and The Oakland Raiders (gotcha!).

I also like The Florida Gators.

But this article isn’t really about sports, per se.

I’m writing this because, in all honesty, I’m not sure how I feel about a semi-related issue.

Let me ask you a question;

Would you support a team called The San Antonio Spics?

How about the Baltimore Blackies or the Detroit Honkies?

Maybe the New Jersey Jews or the Washington Wops?

I think it’s a fair assumption to say that most rational people would find these mascot names offensive, or, at the very least,

Life Of A First Time Fantasy Football Owner

When a friend of mine asked me to join his Fantasy Football League, I figured what the heck all I do on Sunday’s is watch NFL games anyway.A couple of weeks later I received the confirmation email to go online and register my team name and set up my account before the fantasy league draft. Once I set up my account I noticed that you could actually rank the players in order that you wanted on your team. It seemed easy; I went through found players that are usually good playmakers, but after the 50th person there was still another 300+ names to sort through, so I just left it alone.
It was now two weeks before the draft and I was paying extra attention to the preseason football games just to make sure players I wanted to draft still looked good going into the regular season. I also paid attention to top rookie prospects especially wide receivers, running backs and quarterbacks. You know if they’re drafted in the first round of the real NFL draft they have a good

Life Of A First Time Fantasy Football Owner

When I signed up for a fantasy football league the first time, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew a lot about football and players from different teams around the league in general, but I had always cheered for certain players that I liked, and wished other players would just run into the goal post during games like Terrell Owens.

Get Ready to Handicap Football

Ever been in Nevada sports book on a Sunday afternoon during football season? If so you will soon realize that this sport truly dominates in gaming action over all the others. Just about every seems to make some type of wager during the football season. Whether it is at a sports book or just a wager among friends, football gets plenty of attention.

Now is a good time to start preparing your football handicapping strategy for this fall. Football offers many different betting strategies. I myself have 5 different angles I examine when I am handicapping football games. Right now, take a look at some of the off season transactions to start getting use to some of the new moves.

This year was a rather mild year as far as coaching changes went. Only three teams have changes their head coach. In Washington and Buffalo we knew last November that a head coaching situation was likely. In comes Mike Shanahan to the Redskins along with a new GM. Many player changes
