How To Do Football Tricks?

Team Members in the NFL are recognized for their skills on the field. Off the field it gets even more intriguing when you see the things they are able to with the ball during the times it’s not all about game winning touchdowns and field goals. Some of these football tricks can be seen on youtube and on some myspace pages etc. and you should probably check them out as describing them as is described here doesn’t really do them justice. These tricks are ordinarily performed by players who want to get picked for to fantasy football leagues. Some of them can be learned by fans with practice but a few are in fact dangerous and shouldn’t be tried at home. Christ Chambers of the San Diego Chargers manages to catch three footballs: one in each hand and then the third in between the other two. The footballs are thrown from three different persons standing behind him. Chambers turns his back to them and grabs the first and second ball without ever taking a look. With his hands

Bullseye-Sports.com’s Dwayne Bryant gives his thoughts and predictions on the AFC East for the upcoming season. Teams are listed in their predicted order of finish.

1. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Offense: QB Tom Brady is without a doubt one of the best QBs in the game. With a nearly non-existent running game in 2005, Brady was called on to carry the load – and he responded with a big year. Brady threw for 4,110 yards and 26 TDs with a 92.3 QB rating. The Pats drafted RB Laurence Maroney as insurance for the aging Dillon. The receiving corps is suspect except for former Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch. David Givens left for Tennessee, leaving the Pats without a solid #2 WR. They drafted Chad Jackson to compete with Reche Caldwell. Look for more production from the TE position, where Ben Watson is poised for a breakout season. Daniel Graham is another viable option from the TE position. Brady spreads the ball around very well and makes his teammates better.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos were founded on August 14, 1959 when minor league baseball owner Bob Howsam was awarded an American Football League charter  franchise. The Broncos won the first-ever American Football League game over the Boston Patriots on September 9, 1960. On August 5, 1967, they became the first ever AFL team to defeat an NFL team after beating the Detroit Lions in a preseason game.

In 1995, the Broncos debuted a new head coach, Mike Shanahan, and a new rookie running back, Terrell Davis. During the 1997 season, both would help guide the Broncos to their first Super Bowl victory, a 31–24 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XXXII. Although Elway completed only 12 of 22 passing attempts, throwing one interception and no touchdowns, Davis rushed for 157 yards and a Super Bowl-record three touchdowns to earn the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Award – this while overcoming a severe migraine

NFL Power Rankings Week 15: Comparing Teams to Playoff

NFL Power Rankings Week 15 – After a challenging Week 14 of the NFL season and the 49ers vs Cardinals’ Monday night football game has just wrapped up, it’s time and let’s get going with theNFL Power Rankings for Week 15.

In the Monday night game, San Francisco defeated Arizona and I’m ready to put out my week 15 NFL power rankings.

Here are some NFL Power Rankings for Week 15 (NFL Week 14 Rankings are in brackets):

1 (1) New Orleans Saints (13-0): Another week, another close win and struggling against bad teams but still undefeated.

2 (2) Indianapolis Colts (13-0): The Colts just won their 22nd regular season game.

3 (3) Minnesota Vikings (11-2): Dominant victory against the Bengals last time out and nice to see Adrian Peterson return to form.

Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys is one of the most successful teams of the modern era. Founded in 1960, the team ranks tied for second among all NFL franchises in Super Bowl victories and first in Super Bowl appearances. The Cowboys are the only NFL team to record 20 consecutive winning seasons (1966-1985), an NFL record that remains unbroken and unchallenged. It remains one of the longest winning streaks in all of professional sports history. ESPN gave to the Cowboys the top spot in the post-merger era power rankings in 2008.

During 1970s, the Cowboys grew in popularity, not just in Dallas, but nationwide. The Cowboys also continued to add new talent to their roster, including defensive ends Harvey Martin and Ed “Too Tall” Jones, wide receiver Drew Pearson, and defensive tackle Randy White and running back Tony Dorsett. The fresh influx of talent helped the Cowboys win Super Bowl XII and make appearances in Super Bowls X and XIII. Dallas ended the 1970s as

Folk tale ends: Cowboys cut struggling kicker; Suisham in

The Dallas Cowboys cut kicker Nick Folk on Monday and replaced him with Shaun Suisham, who used to play for the team.

NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi reports that Shane Andrus, Steve Hauschka, Connor Hughes and Parker Douglass also tried out for the job.

Suisham previously kicked for the Cowboys in 2005 and 2006. He was released by the Washington Redskins on Dec. 8 after missing a key kick — the same problem that cost Folk his job Monday.

Folk clanged the right upright on an easy 24-yard field-goal attempt that, if made, would have put away Saturday night’s 24-17 victory over the previously unbeaten New Orleans Saints. Instead, the Dallas defense had to make one more stand against one of the NFL’s best offenses.

Folk leads the NFL with 10 missed field-goal attempts, going 18 of 28 and missing seven of his past 11.

Suisham was released by the Redskins in great part because he missed a short field-goal attempt against the

Sunday’s NFL roundup – NFL football, NFL Previews, NFL standings

After 40 years of being pushed around and dominated by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cincinnati Bengals refused to be bullied any more.

The Bengals beat the Steelers at their own game in their own stadium, relying on a defence that smothered Ben Roethlisberger and the Super Bowl champions by holding them to four field goals, and using one big special teams play for an 18-12 victory Sunday that put them in control of the AFC North.

Shayne Graham kicked four field goals in the second half even as the Bengals (7-2) failed to convert opportunity after opportunity to take control. Bernard Scott’s 96-yard kickoff return in the first quarter proved pivotal as Cincinnati, despite playing the second half without ace running back Cedric Benson and failing to convert on the extra point after Scott’s score, followed up a 23-20 win over the Steelers (6-3) on Sept. 27.

By sweeping the season series for the first time since 1998, the Bengals effectively

Is chris cooley playing well?

Finally after the toughest whistle, after an afternoon with as many boos as cheers from the home fans, the Washington Redskins retreated to a very quiet locker room. Anyone walking in would think they had lost.
As tight end Chris Cooley put it: “Everyone was a little down in here.”
The Redskins narrowly avoided an unthinkable meltdown Sunday, beating the St. Louis Rams 9-7 in a result that leaves serious doubt whether Washington can stay competitive this season in the tough NFC East. Failing to score a touchdown against a team with only two victories since the beginning of last season was no reason to celebrate.
But that wasn’t enough to satisfy the fans, who booed even as the Redskins kicked the field goal that gave them the lead for good in the third quarter.

“I understand that they want us to beat the Rams by 40,” said Cooley, who led the Redskins with seven catches for 83 yards. “But we still won, and if we continue to win games, that’s

Top 10 Teams in 2009 NFL Power Rankings Week 11

As per my prediction the Ravens defeat the Browns on Monday Night. These 2009 NFL power rankings for week 11 might change if the Monday Night Football game between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns result reverses. Its almost Fantastic NFL in the regular season.

Top Team 10th:  Baltimore Ravens (5-4)
The Baltimore Ravens reenter the top ten at #10 this week. This is assuming that they defeat the Cleveland Browns on Monday night and will be modified if the Browns win. As the Ravens are 5-4, they recently defeated the Denver Broncos 30-7. This gives them the advantage for the final power ranking spot for this week.

The Ravens will play the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers in the following weeks. Don’t expect them to hold their spot in these power rankings for long; the Ravens have struggled against stronger competition in 2009..

Top Team  9: San Diego

NFL Power Rankings Week 16: Comparing Teams to Christmas Holidays

NFL Power Rankings Week 16After the exciting week 15 of NFL, here I’m ready with NFL Power Rankings for Week 16.

We have been digesting the well known fact about Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, which still remains on top in power rankings since long time.

This time, Vikings did good job on comparison with previous rankings. Expectations were really high on Green Bay Packers to be in top 5, but they could not stand upon. The unfortunate news about Dallas cowboys is about their shut down step towards NFL Playoff. I feel, it is tough for them to give important mark for this NFL regular season.

Jacksonville Jaguars are in 15 as of now which may fluctuate soon. How ever, they are not going to be competitors to Titans.

Finally, the worst team in the NFL is St. Louis Rams. Well, let us have a look over NFL Power Rankings for week 16:

(1) Indianapolis Colts
